The Flu Season: Nov 10-13

Our fall production The Flu Season from MFA directing candidate Brian Cochrane is coming up!

Will Eno’s The Flu Season is a love story set in a mental health institution. It is also a play about making a play set in a theatre. Hilarious, tragic and often absurd, The Flu Season examines what happens when our feelings change. Should we just keep going on as though nothing’s happened for the sake of others? Do we follow our intuition no matter the consequences? What if our new feelings get the better of our good intentions? There is also group therapy, speaking in tongues and imaginary cake.

Shakespeare Reading

As the winter slowly approaches and the holidays draw near we thought it might be appropriate to celebrate by curling up next to a warm fire with some hot chocolate and one of William Shakespeare’s classic dramas, The Winter’s Tale. Due to fire restrictions however we cannot have a fire in the Student Union Building but feel free to join us next Thursday (December 3rd) for some hot chocolate and our very first Shakespeare Reading. We will be meeting at room 212 in the SUB at 6pm where we will read Shakespeare’s The Winter’s Tale,  while enjoying some hot chocolate and will probably be done around 9pm. Please bring a mug for the hot chocolate, and copies of the play will be provided.
