Executive team 2011-2012:

Co presidents:
Paula Zelaya Cervantes
Paula  is an international student from Mexico City. She is in her third year of a BA Theatre and Honours English Double major at UBC, which she loves and which may possibly kill her one day. Paula is into writing both short stories and plays, as well as reading and acting. She can’t be happy unless there’s  theatre happening somewhere near her. She is  thrilled to be Co-president of the club this season.
Ingrid Nilson

Promotions Manager: Nassreen Noorizadeh-Kollou
Nassreen is a 2nd year BFA student at UBC, majoring in theatrical design and production and minoring in law and society. Design has always been something she’s been interested in and eventually wants to be a set designer in theatre. She’s always loved to create things from baking to building and what she loves most about working in theatre is that each play takes on a life of itself. You’ll always be faced with different challenges but it keeps you on your toes because inspiration can come from anywhere when you least expect it.
Promotions Assistant:
amelie schumacher
She is a BFA Theater Production and Design Student focusing my studies on production and stage management. Outside of my studies she rows, is a Residence Advisor and work for engineering on her Coop term! The Player’s Club is the best way for you to do theater if you’re not in the Acting or Production and Design Program! Get involved with us!!
Anna Marie M. Parayno (also Festival Dionysia Production Manager)
Anna believes she was a bear in the past life for these reasons: she’s great at hugging, she loves fish and berries, and she never gets enough sleep in the winter. Besides that, she likes to read, sleep, dream, draw. She’s majoring in Sociology and minoring in English Lit (hardly a toe in in the theatrical sphere of things), wishes one day to be a counseling therapist [maybe a sexologist ;) ] but for the meantime will settle for what she has here and now (little complaints except the lack of sleep thing).
Graphic Designer: Jade Greaves
Jade is a BFA Theatre Design and Production student currently in my 4th year at UBC. Originally from Toronto, but glad to be studying in Vancouver, she does graphic design, illustrative work and photography when she’s not helping out in various forms of production around the theatre.
Member Liason/Secretary: Carolyn Nakagawa
Carolyn is a second year Honours English literature student who loves everything to do with theatre. She has acted, written, and directed theatre both in her high school and as part of local theatre groups in Port Moody. She loves that the UBC Players Club provides “theatre on your own terms” for students in all disciplines and is proud to be a part of making that happen!

He is a student of Nihon Buyoh, classical Japanese dance of the kabuki tradition, a member of Synaptic Chaos Theatre improv group, and holds a BA from UBC majoring in Psychology and minoring in Theatre.
