What is Clubs Week?
AMS Clubs Week 2024 is a week in January where you can explore all the clubs you can join at UBC at the AMS Student Nest. It is on January 22-30, 2024. Whether you’re interested in sports, arts, academics, or just looking to make like-minded new friends, there’s something for everyone at Clubs Week. The UBC Players Club will be participating on Wed, Jan 24.
What will be at UBC Clubs Week 2024?
This year, the AMS has organized many new features for Clubs Week:
- ☕️ COFFEE FOR COMMUTERS: Get FREE coffee from 11am-12pm at the Commons Lounge in the Lower Level of the Nest
- 🆓 FREE WEEK: You can attend select club events for FREE, without having to purchase a ticket or membership!
- 🗳️ AMS ENGAGEMENT ZONE: Provide much-needed feedback on how the AMS can improve services and facilities.
- 🤫 LOW SENSORY HOURS 🤫: From 11AM-12PM, Clubs Week will be hosting Low-Sensory Hours to create a safe and calming low-sensory environment. We encourage students to attend Clubs Week from 12pm onwards to accommodate students with disabilities and neurodivergent folks.
What is Clubs Fair?
UBC students will explore over 300 AMS student clubs and groups at the end of September outside the AMS Student Nest. At Clubs Fair, you will have the opportunity to join a community of people with similar interests. UBC community members are all welcome to swing by for free.
What is Clubs Day?
UBC Clubs Day (or Clubs Days) is now known as Clubs Week. In 2024, the AMS extended the event from a few days to a week to allow for a longer duration, increasing visibility and interest among students.
